Drake is following in Fred VanVleet's footsteps in not backing down from the Cavaliers.
As Cleveland players made their way off the court at halftime, the Toronto native had something to say to Cavs backup big man Kendrick Perkins.
Drake, with his arm wrapped around Jose Calderon, exchanged words with Perkins before J.R Smith stepped in to push his teammate away.

Sitting in his regular courtside seat, Drake has been a part of the action all season long, often interacting with opposing players along the sideline.
But it didn't stop there. Following the Cavs' Game 1 victory, Perkins and Drake got reacquainted with more players and security staff required to break them up.

As Perkins was pushed toward the locker room by teammates, he continued to bark at Drake, who engaged with officials before exiting with his entourage.
Here's Perkins' explanation of the whole situation, as told to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski:
In a text message to ESPN, Kendrick Perkins says: “What happened was I was talking to my old teammate Serge (Ibaka) walking into halftime telling him ‘We about to win this game,’ and Drake butted in talking shit to me. So I said something back to him.” https://t.co/sJ3Ntx6zVy

Did Drake respond? Yes, of course he did.
"I just said I like the hem on his capris." Perkins may not find this comment all that funny.
Drake 😂
