The Wizards will be without one of their most versatile players Friday night.

Otto Porter Jr. underwent surgery on his left leg and will miss the Wizards Game 6 matchup against the Raptors, the team announced in a press release Friday. He is out indefinitely.

Porter was diagnosed with compartment syndrome and the surgery was necessary to prevent permanent damage to the muscles in his leg, according to the press release.

Porter started 77 games for Washington this season. He finished third on the team in scoring at 14.7 points per game and second in rebounding with 6.4 per contest.

Porter has averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game in five 2017-18 playoff appearances. He’ll likely be replaced in the starting lineup by Kelly Oubre Jr.

Toronto won the first two games of the opening-round series, but Washington responded with two victories of its own. The Raptors, however, topped the Wizards 108-98 in Game 5 on Wednesday to take a 3-2 series lead.
