The shooting guard Russell Westbrook emerged once again in the decisive moment, right before the buzzer sounded, by scoring the three-pointer that broke the tie in the scoreboard and led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 107-110 victory on the road against the Sacramento Kings.

The victory came after the Thunder let a 23-point lead slip away and fell behind in the scoreboard with a partial score of 105-102 until they finished the final stretch of the game with an 8-2 run that secured the victory.

Westbrook contributed a triple-double - the 18th of the season - with 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists that once again made him the most complete player for the Thunder (34-26), who achieved their second consecutive victory.

The small forward Paul George also remained as the leading scorer for the Thunder with 26 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists, while Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points and tied his season-high in three-pointers with seven.

Meanwhile, George made three three-pointers and broke his streak of five consecutive games with at least five baskets from beyond the arc, which is the second best in NBA history after George McCloud achieved six consecutive games in 1996.

The Spanish shooting guard Álex Abrines, who came off the bench, played six minutes and contributed three points by shooting 1-2 from the field, all of them three-pointers, and grabbed one rebound.

The Thunder set a franchise record in the first quarter by scoring 44 points and finished the game with 12 three-pointers, but they struggled in the end and made the victory suspenseful until the winning three-pointer from the Oklahoma City team arrived.

The power forward Zach Randolph with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds was the leader of the Kings' offense (18-40), who lost their second consecutive game and have the second worst record in the Western Conference, sharing it with the Dallas Mavericks, who enjoyed a rest day.
