At 40 years old, Manu Ginobili is crushing it this season and seems to be closer than ever to making it, for the third time, to the NBA All-Star Game, which will take place in Los Angeles this year.
With a strong campaign in his favor on social media, the player from Bahia Blanca received 231,460 votes, according to the partial results that were released this Thursday; and thus, he positioned himself among the five most chosen 'guards' of the Western Conference.
It's worth remembering that through the hashtag 'NBAVote' plus 'Manu Ginobili', users from any social network can cast one vote per day. In fact, those casted this Thursday (as well as on January 11, 12, and 15) will count as double.
Ahead of Manu are, as of now, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Klay Thompson; while the most chosen from the West is Kevin Durant.
On the other hand, in the East, Kyrie Irving is dominating among the 'guards', while Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James are competing for the top spot among offensive players.
How to vote?
The public's vote represents 50 percent of the selection, while the rest is divided between the players themselves (25 percent) and a group of journalists (25 percent). The voting closes on January 15th.
Fans can vote once a day through the NBA APP and the NBA.com website, as well as through social media using the hashtag 'NBAVote' plus 'Manu Ginobili'. On January 4th, 11th, 12th, and 15th, votes count as double.
In all cases, only one vote per 24 hours is counted. On social media, each post, retweet, or share counts as one vote.
