South Bend, Ind. – T.J. Gibbs scored a game-high 22 points to lead four players in double figures as Notre Dame gave coach Mike Brey his school-record 394th victory, an 88-58 Atlantic Coast Conference triumph Wednesday night over North Carolina State.

The Irish (12-3, 2-0 ACC) played without senior All-American Bonzie Colson, who is scheduled for Thursday surgery on a broken left foot, and for more than 25 minutes without senior point guard Matt Farrell, who sat next to him after suffering his own left foot injury after a hard fall in the first half.

D.J. Harvey, who started in Colson’s place, had a career-high 17 points, Rex Pflueger had 16 and Martinas Geben 10 points as Brey passed former Irish coach Digger Phelps, who was courtside, to become Notre Dame’s all-time leader in men’s basketball victories.

Big Ten

(At) No. 13 Purdue 82, Rutgers 51: Isaac Haas scored 14 points and Dakota Mathias finished with 13 for the Boilermakers (14-2, 3-0 Big Ten). Purdue has won 10 straight overall and 17 consecutive home games. Geo Baker had 11 points to lead the Scarlet Knights (10-6, 0-3).

(At) Minnesota 77, Illinois 67: Nate Mason and Jordan Murphy each scored 17 points for the Gophers (13-3). Leron Black had 14 points for Illinois (10-6).

Top 25

(At) No. 7 Oklahoma 109, Oklahoma State 89: Trae Young fell one rebound short of a triple-double and finished with 27 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds for Oklahoma (12-1, 2-0 Big 12), which won its 10th straight. Thomas Dziagwa scored a career-high 19 points and Jeffrey Carroll added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Oklahoma State (10-4, 0-2).

No. 8 Virginia 78, (at) Virginia Tech 52: De’Andre Hunter scored 14 points and Virginia (13-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) put the defensive clamps on Virginia Tech.

No. 17 Kentucky 74, (at) LSU 71: P.J. Washington scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander capped his 18-point night with two free throws with 16 seconds left for the Wildcats (12-2).

(At) Georgia Tech 64,  No. 15 Miami 54: Josh Okogie scored a season-high 30 points and Jose Alvarado added 12 points for Georgia Tech. Dewan Huell, with 13 points, was the only player to score in double figures for Miami (12-2, 1-1 Atlantic Coast Conference).

(At) No. 24 Florida State 81, No. 12. North Carolina 80: Braian Angola scored 20 points and C.J. Walker added 18 for the Seminoles (12-2).

No. 25 Clemson 74, (at) Boston College 70: Donte Grantham scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Tigers’ (13-1) first game in the national rankings in nearly eight years.

State women

(At) Michigan State 81, Northwestern 51: Shay Colley scored 18 points, Taryn McCutcheon added 16 points and Lexi Gussert had 14 points for the Spartans (11-4). Oceana Hamilton scored 15 points for the Wildcats (8-8).

Eastern Michigan 54, (at) Bowling Green 52: Emoni Jackson scored with less than a second to play for the victory for the Eagles (5-8).

(At) Central Michigan 82, Ohio 58: Tinara Moore scored 22 points and Presley Hudson added 20 points for Central Michigan (10-3).

(At) Buffalo 71, Central Michigan 49: Breanna Mobley scored 12 points for Western Michigan (8-6).
