The athlete from Junin reached the qualification mark required by World Athletics to secure her spot. In the Valencia Marathon, Tejeda achieved a time of 2:26:26, surpassing the required qualifying mark (2:26:50).

Likewise, with the same time, she qualified for the upcoming World Athletics Championships in Budapest and the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

In this way, Tejeda closes out a successful 2022, demonstrating that she is still at her peak athletic performance, winning the gold medal at the Bolivarian Games and breaking the South American and national records during the Sevilla Marathon.
