Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce led the race from start to finish and clocked a time of 10.67 seconds

At 35 years old, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won her fifth world title in the women's 100m sprint in Eugene, United States, leading a Jamaican sweep on the podium.

Fraser-Pryce had an electrifying start and led the race from start to finish, winning with a championship record time of 10.67 seconds (with a wind of 0.8 m/s).

Her compatriot Shericka Jackson took the silver with a personal best time of 10.73 seconds, and the five-time Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah claimed the bronze (10.81) at the Hayward Field in Eugene.

The three Jamaican stars had already achieved a clean sweep last year at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, but in a different order: Thompson-Herah defeated Fraser-Pryce and Jackson. AFP
