Four days before the opening of the XI South American Sports Games, President Evo Morales admitted yesterday problems with the provision of some companies that affected, according to him, the discipline of field hockey, as well as the completion of some sports facilities, although he pointed out that 98% is guaranteed.
Morales received information this Monday afternoon and later offered a press statement in which he said: "(I) deeply regret some companies that win contracts and do not execute them. I refer to the hockey field. A problem was presented, I deeply regret to say it." However, he then urged Tito Montaño. "Although the Minister of Sports and Codesur will try to solve it, we hope to do it, I am optimistic."

The president of the Senate, José Alberto Gonzales, sent Morales on May 18, ten written information requests issued by the opposition: one to know the regulations used by the Government for direct contracts for the XI South American Sports Games, and nine others to ask the Customs to report on the import procedures of the companies.
Then he pointed out that there was a problem with the equipment for athletics, specifically in the cages for discus throwing.
But, in that case, he attributed the responsibility to the Municipality of Cochabamba and denounced that this instance refused to fulfill its commitment. "The minister and Codesur were in charge, I think it will be resolved, it is not a big problem. We always hope to coordinate with the legal part, so that there is no misrepresentation or accusations," he said.
He stated that the football field in Villa Tunari also faces a problem. "The company says that with so much rain we cannot progress, but they have a commitment to finish, especially the roof, as well as other equipment and fine work. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday," he asserted.
President Morales informed that the arrival of the delegations' equipment surprises the customs officials. Therefore, "I spoke with the president of Customs and the Minister of Government to facilitate the entry of our athletes and they will work 24 hours a day."

He admitted that it was not easy and asked that "we all dedicate ourselves to guaranteeing the games. Social movements, opposition, media, because the image of Bolivia is at stake."
