Jonathan Stoltman of Little Falls won his second straight Earth Day SCHEELS Half Marathon on Saturday in St. Cloud.
ST. CLOUD — Jonathan Stoltman said he learned last year that marathons are too long.
The 31-year-old Little Falls resident, however, figured out that half marathons are just about perfect.
Stoltman won his second straight SCHEELS Earth Day Half Marathon on a bright, sunny Saturday, finishing in 1 hour, 14 minutes and 1.64 seconds.
That's more than 15 seconds faster than he ran the 13.1-mile race last year in what could be described as ideal conditions for the course that began and ended at St. Cloud State outside Halenbeck Hall.
This year's race, the 19th annual, attracted 1,500 runners including 340 relay teams.
