Usain Bolt shows his soccer skills and scores a goal in Borussia Dortmund training
It is already viral on YouTube. The Olympic athletics champion Usain Bolt had the opportunity to show off his soccer skills on Friday, nutmegging an opponent and scoring a header during a training session with Borussia Dortmund in front of a cheering crowd.
Around 1,500 people attended the training ground of Dortmund in the suburbs of Brackel for the morning session, with dozens of journalists and cameramen surrounding the pitch as Bolt entered along with players Mario Goetze and Julian Weigl.
Bolt, who also trained with the team behind closed doors on Thursday night, warmed up with Dortmund players as his fans cheered him on with Jamaican flags in the freezing morning of Ruhr valley. He even had the luxury of scoring a goal and nutmegging an opponent. The videos keep being shared on YouTube.
"It was good. I had fun with the guys and they were very hospitable," said the 31-year-old athlete, who signed autographs for journalists after the one-hour training.
Dortmund, who will be out of action until March 31 due to an international break, shares the same sponsor as Bolt, Puma, and agreed in January to let the retired athlete train with the team.
