The Jamaican Usain Bolt is looking to try his luck in football. The fastest man in history announced through his social media accounts that he has signed with a team, although the club hasn't been revealed yet. However, rumors say that Mamelodi Sundowns is the club by which the record holder would have signed.
"I've just signed a contract with a football team. Find out which one this Tuesday, February 27th at 8:00 am," wrote the 31-year-old former athlete, winner of eight Olympic gold medals.
In several occasions, Bolt had mentioned that he was interested in trying his luck in a professional football team. The former world athletics champion had planned to try out with Borussia Dortmund, but it didn't happen.
Bolt, who admitted to being a Manchester United fan, never hid his dream of becoming a professional footballer. Even the Burton Albion, a club in the English Football League Championship, was interested in signing him last season.
The man who holds the world record for the 100 and 200 meters had already appeared in the trailer of a well-known football video game; perhaps now he will be able to fulfill his childhood dream in real life.
