Dean Karnazes, the man with the greatest physical endurance on earth, offers a free talk today at the auditorium of the Peruvian North American Cultural Institute (ICPNA) at 7:30 p.m.
The main athlete of Team Global The North Face, the only runner to participate in 50 marathons in 50 days, is in our capital to promote running and healthy living, as part of a series of activities promoted by the Embassy of the United States and Peru Runners.
In the provinces
Dean Karnazes will travel to Huancayo to visit the birthplace of national long-distance running and will also be in Cusco, where he will train with elite athletes and young athletes from the Chaki Wayra NGO.
In addition, Karnazes will end his stay in Peru on January 14th with a 5-kilometer family run, starting at 9 a.m. The starting point for this event will be on Arequipa Avenue, near Washington Park.
The American will compete in "The North Face Endurance Challenge," a race that will take place on March 17, 2018 in Pachacámac.

Peru
The Peruvian edition consists of four distances: 10K, 21K, 50K and 80K, each with its own challenges according to the level of difficulty. Registrations are already open to the general public.
