Mexican Ricardo Ramos finished in 70th position in the marathon at the World Athletics Championships held in London, with a time of two hours, 41 minutes, and 50 seconds.

Ricardo Ramos finished in 70th place in the marathon event at the 2017 London World Athletics Championships, which was won by Kenyan Geoffrey Kipkorir Kirui.

Ramos Vargas completed the 42.195-kilometer race in two hours, 41 minutes, and 50 seconds, far from his personal best of 2:14:58 set in the 2016 Dusseldorf Marathon, Germany.

The 33-year-old from Tepeji del Río, Hidalgo was second to last in the list of finishers, with the last being Abraham Niyonkuru from Burundi, with a time of 2:41:27.

Uruguayan Ernesto Andrés Zamora was the top-ranked Latin American, finishing in 20th place with a time of 2:16:00 hours.

Kirui took the gold medal in a time of 2:08:27 hours, with the silver going to Ethiopian Tamirat Tola with 2:09.49 and the bronze to Tanzanian Alphonce Felix Simbu with 2:09.51.
