Verano Divertido Closing Ceremony

The Corona Stadium was the venue for the closing ceremony of the "Verano Divertido" (Fun Summer) on Friday, organized by the Torreón City Council.

For three weeks, 2,000 children from all sectors practiced sports such as boxing, swimming, taekwondo, volleyball, basketball, tennis, soccer, and track and field.

It involved not only the Municipal Sports Institute but also other departments such as Civil Protection, Social Services, Public Security, and Municipal Health.

The mayor, Jorge Luis Morán, gave a message of encouragement to the children and gratitude to the parents and sponsors such as the Santos Laguna soccer club.
