Welcome to the Lerdo 2017 Night Half Marathon
On Saturday, September 9th, the first Lerdo 2017 Night Half Marathon will be held, organized by the Municipal Presidency, with the support of the Lerdo Athletics Academy and CarrerasLaguna.
The mayor, María Luisa González Achem, made the official presentation of the call along with Daniel González, director of the Athletics Academy, and Alfredo Alemán Baños, technical director of the competition.
The winners of the 21K race will be awarded 3,000 pesos to the winner of each category, as well as 2,000 pesos for second place and 1,200 pesos for third place.
The route includes streets and avenues of the city, with the start and finish line in front of the Municipal Presidency building.
The 21K participants will start at 7:00 pm and 10 minutes later those who register for the 5K distance will begin, which is ideal for families, said the mayor.
"This activity is what Lerdo has been waiting for, our municipality deserves to have a 21K, we have insisted on family integration, on belonging to good things, that's why we open spaces for them, we offer them soccer academies, gymnastics, taekwondo."
"Now we are going to enter the world of races, there are good teams and good runners here, so we will offer them a half marathon for them to enjoy," she said.
She revealed that in addition to the attractive cash prizes and the raffle of gifts among the participants, there will be a pleasant surprise for all those who register, so it will be announced in the coming days.
Regarding the route, María Luisa González stated that it will be in very safe conditions, "reviewed by the Athletics Academy and I have just instructed to take care that there are no potholes, that it is well lit, beautiful, pleasant."
"For that, we are coordinated with Civil Protection, Firefighters, and Security, like in Lerdantino, which is a party for everyone and we hope to have the governor, José Rosas Aispuro," she said.
The capacity is for a thousand runners in all categories, there will also be races for children to run one kilometer and their divisions are: A (7 and under), B (8 to 10 years old), C (11 to 13 years old), which will start at 7:00 pm.
The categories in 21K (male and female) are: Open up to 39 years old, Master 40 to 49 years old, Veterans 50 to 59 years old, and Veterans Plus 60 and over. The 5K distance is open to males and females.
The registration fee until September 8th is 250 pesos in 21K, 180 pesos in 5K, and 100 pesos for children. After that date, there will be an increase.

The registration points are located at Innova Sport, in Bosque Venustiano Carranza, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Registration is also available at the Lerdo Athletics Academy and on the entusmarcas.com website.
The package delivery will be on Saturday, September 9th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the Lerdo Municipal Presidency.
The registered runner will be entitled to a shirt, a number, a medal, chip loan, and participation in the raffle of gifts.
