Mexican delegation continues to excel at the Para-athletics World Championships in London 2017

The athlete Mario Santana Ramos, from Nuevo León, Monterrey, achieved a continental record in the final of the F51 javelin throw. Although he finished sixth, his performance was enough to position him as the best in all of America, according to the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (Conade).

Other Mexican athletes, Édgar Cesáreo Navarro and Mónica Olivia Rodríguez, will be competing for medals in the men's T51 400 meters and women's T11 1500 meters events, respectively, at the Para-athletics World Championships.
