The strike of the referees in the MX League was fair, said former football player and mayor of Cuernavaca, Cuauhtémoc Blanco.
"I always used to argue with the referees and say swear words to them and now I regret it," he said in an interview with Carlos Loret de Mola for the program Despierta.
WE RECOMMEND: Pablo Aguilar and Triverio receive a one-year suspension
The referees stopped activities in the MX League throughout the weekend, in protest against the sanctions applied to players Pablo Aguilar from América and Enrique Triverio from Toluca, for assaulting the referees, as they considered that the sanctions were less severe than what they deserved.
The former national team player said he regretted the insults and altercations he had with the referees during his time as a football player.
