Real Sociedad defeats Las Palmas in La Liga

The Real Sociedad, where Mexican forward Carlos Vela plays, defeated Las Palmas 1-0 in the match corresponding to matchday 24 of La Liga in Gran Canaria.

The Mexican forward played 88 minutes in his team's victory, which now have 44 points and remain in fifth position.

On the other hand, Las Palmas, led by coach Quique Setién, only have 28 points and are currently in twelfth place in La Liga.

The only goal of the match was scored by Spanish midfielder Xabi Prieto in the 75th minute, after shooting with his right foot from outside the penalty area.

The team from San Sebastián will face Eibar in their next Spanish league match, which will be played on Tuesday, February 28th at Anoeta.
