Articles from Kobe Bryant stolen from high school display case
Articles from Kobe Bryant's high school career were stolen from a display case at the school near Philadelphia where the former NBA star studied, authorities announced on Monday.
The Philly.com portal reported the theft of the "Kobe Shrine" outside the Bryant Gymnasium at Lower Merion High School, which was discovered by school officials on Sunday night.
The culprits forced open a lock on the display case and took a Bryant jersey, several pairs of autographed Nike sports shoes, and the trophy and net from the 1996 state championship.
School officials indicated that the items have little monetary value. The jersey is a replica of one that Bryant wore with the team before becoming a star for the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lower Merion police are reviewing security camera footage in an effort to solve the crime.
