Flavio Briatore Sentenced to Prison for Tax Evasion

Flavio Briatore has been sentenced to one year and eleven months in prison for tax evasion, according to El País.

According to Italian justice, Briatore committed tax evasion by renting the Force Blue, a luxury yacht that was actually owned by Autumn Sailing Limited, based in the Cayman Islands. The court accuses him of renting it without the right to do so and of not paying the special fuel taxes or the corresponding VAT.
