Roberto Mosquera, new coach of CD Jorge Wilstermann, arrives in Bolivia

In his first experience directing abroad, Roberto Mosquera, the new coach of CD Jorge Wilstermann of Bolivia, arrived this afternoon in Cochabamba directly from Lima to join his new club, amid great pressure from the local press who wanted to have his first impressions upon setting foot on Bolivian soil.

"It is an honor for me, a responsibility. It is a team that has always been a contender in the Bolivian tournament. We want to live up to the history of Wilstermann," said Peruvian coach Roberto Mosquera after landing at the Jorge Wilstermann airport.

This afternoon, Roberto Mosquera was officially presented at the club's headquarters.

Roberto Mosquera arrives as a replacement for the previous coach, Julio Zamora, who signed for the new season with San José, a team from the city of Oruro.

On January 6th, 'El Rojo' will begin their preseason work after medical examinations for the players, according to Ronald Rodríguez, president of the technical commission of the Wilstermann team.

Roberto Mosquera was announced as the new strategist of the Bolivian team a few weeks ago, when it was speculated that he could still coach in Peruvian football in 2017. Last year, 'Mosca' as he is known in his country, coached Alianza Lima, a team which he couldn't lead to win the national title, and in the last few matches of the Peruvian Descentralizado, he was fired due to the club's poor results and was replaced by his assistant coach Juan José Jayo Legario.

Although there has been no official talk about a reinforcement for the Cochabamba team, it is said that the forward midfielder, Panamanian Ricardo Buitrago, would be the first to strengthen 'El Aviador'.

The Panamanian 'number ten' Buitrago was coached by Roberto Mosquera when he trained Juan Aurich of Chiclayo in 2015.
