Adrian Peterson to Return to Training with the Minnesota Vikings
Adrian Peterson will return to training this week with the Minnesota Vikings for the first time since tearing his right knee meniscus in September.
Coach Mike Zimmer said he expects Peterson to practice all week. He is unsure if the star running back will be available to play against the Indianapolis Colts this weekend.
Peterson told an internet portal this week that his goal is to return to the field for the December 24th game against Green Bay. The running back suffered the meniscus injury on September 18th in a game against the Packers, and he has missed the last 11 games.
The Vikings (7-6) likely need to win their three remaining games of the season to qualify for the playoffs.
