Universitario de Deportes defeats Deportivo Municipal 3-2 in the Mansiche Stadium of Trujillo

The 'cremas' goals were scored by Hernán Rengifo and Alexi Gómez, while Damían Ísmodes and Maximiliano Velasco scored for the 'franja'.

In a match that was active from start to finish, Hernán Rengifo opened the scoring in the 34th minute after a great play by Andy Polo. In the second half, Alexi Gómez increased the lead from a penalty kick in the 54th minute.

However, Deportivo Municipal managed to pull one back in the 64th minute thanks to Damian Ísmodes and Maximiliano Velasco made it an exciting match with a goal in the 78th minute.

The match seemed to be sealed until 'Charapa' Rengifo arrived to give the victory to Universitario and score his 15th goal of the season. This way, Universitario de Deportes secures the third place in the Descentralizado 2016, relegating Deportivo Municipal to the fourth place.
