Atlético Nacional supports Chapecoense
Atlético Nacional player, Gilberto García, informed the media that the Colombian team requests that the Copa Sudamericana title be awarded to Chapecoense after their plane crash, awaiting Conmebol's response.
"The coach told us to value our lives, to reflect, to take this as a warning from God to continue improving in our personal lives, to continue loving ourselves, and to wait for the determination that Conmebol takes, to wait for the officials to be able to talk, we want this team to be champion and then see what comes next," García mentioned for Win Sports TV.

Gilberto emphasized that it is a request from the team, but they are also aware that delivering the championship is what the football world would want.
"It is our initiative, I know it from the football world, but we hope that Conmebol will make that determination and give all the support to the families that are coming, hopefully we can approach them and give them a hug, a word of encouragement, in these moments it may be excessive but perhaps it also helps to alleviate the pain," he concluded.
