Legendary Brazilian footballer José Ely de Miranda, known to the world as Zito, passed away in Santos on Sunday aged 82.
Zito, who played for Santos between 1952 and 1967, making 733 appearances and scoring 57 goals, was part of the Brazil squad that won back-to back World Cups in Sweden (1958) and Chile (1962).
In the final of the 1962 tournament, Zito scored the winning goal as Brazil beat Czechoslovakia 2-1.
