A.J Andrews Becomes the First Woman to Win the Gold Glove Award in Major League Baseball
A.J Andrews, one of the best players in the National Softball League, a member of the USSSA Pride, made history by becoming the first woman to win the Gold Glove Award, given in Major League Baseball.
"It is an amazing honor to be here, with the fact that Rawlings really supports women's sports, softball, says a lot", declared Andrews.
"The meaning is immeasurably honest. Softball is getting a response and recognition", concluded the outfielder who also hopes that this achievement inspires young female players in this sport.
Andrews was honored at the annual event at the Hotel Plaza in Manhattan, organized by the company Rawlings.
