This Wednesday the names of the three finalists for athlete of the year have been made public, highlighting the name of Usain Bolt.
The choice will depend on the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), but it should be noted that Usain Bolt (from Jamaica), who could obtain this recognition for the sixth time.
The finalists for this title are: Usain Bolt (Jamaica), Mo Farah (Somalia), and Wayde van Niekerk (South Africa).
And the female candidates are: Almaz Ayana (Ethiopia), Elaine Thompson (Jamaica), and Anita Wlodarczyk (Poland).
It is worth mentioning that Bolt was athlete of the year in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
