Confirmation of Melvin Brown's arrival

After it was confirmed today that former Mexican player Melvin Brown will join Club Suchitepéquez, he announced on his Twitter account that his arrival at the Guatemalan club could not be finalized.

Guatemala National Team Sanction

Due to the FIFA sanction received by the Guatemala National Team for irregularities in a doping case, Walter Claverí left his position as national team coach to take over the helm of the Guatemalan club, and this is what halted the arrival of the former Mexican player.

"Unfortunately, the sanction received by the Guatemala National Team from FIFA affected the previous arrangement. I understand the bond they have due to the previous tournament. Therefore, respecting hierarchies and, above all, my own process, which I have very clear and defined, I have decided not to be part of this project," Brown stated.

Melvin Brown declared himself ready and prepared to take on the next "project that comes in professional soccer."
