Mexican men's rugby team eliminated from Japan 2019 World Cup
The Mexican men's rugby team was eliminated from the Japan 2019 World Cup after being defeated 29-11 by the Tucanes from Colombia. The match took place at the Cincuentenario Stadium in Medellín.
During the first half, the advantage was for the Colombian team, who took the lead 14-8 over the Serpientes. At the start of the second half, the Tucanes increased the distance on the scoreboard to 17-8.
In a reaction from Rubén Duque's team, the Mexican team closed the gap to 17-11; however, their attempts were unsuccessful and they couldn't turn the game around.
With this result, the Mexican rugby team is out of the 2019 World Cup, while the Tucanes continue in the competition, and they will face Paraguay in Asunción next month.
