Santos Laguna closes its preparation to face Atlas this Sunday.

Santos Laguna is practically ready to host Atlas in Round 14 of the Apertura 2016 Tournament, in which the laguneros will seek to return to the path of victory and improve as much as possible in the closing of the regular competition.

"We have to free our minds, let our soccer flow, enjoy our profession which is playing soccer, it's a little bit of that, freeing ourselves from the pressure we may have."

This Saturday the albiverde team will have their last rehearsal prior to the match, although it will only be a light practice, in which the coach, José Manuel de la Torre, will give the last instructions on the field, as the team will remain concentrated in the afternoon.

The players know that they owe it to their fans, who will not be able to enjoy a playoffs at the Corona stadium this year, so at least they must regain their dignity in these four remaining matches.

This Friday the lagunero team carried out football exercises, through a new inter-squad rehearsal held on the fields adjacent to the Corona Stadium.

José Javier Abella commented that the team seeks to redeem itself with its fans, knowing that to achieve this, they require much more than a victory this Sunday against Zorros.

He highlighted the importance of this match, considering it will be a difficult encounter, "we have seen Atlas, they have good players, fast, dynamic, the important thing is how we face them, with pride and dignity.

We have to play these matches, show ourselves that we are capable of doing things right, we play these types of factors in the remaining matches."

Abella further expressed the feelings of the albiverde team towards the end of the championship: "Now the important thing is to finish with dignity, although it has been a difficult and complicated tournament, it is time to close it well, to redeem ourselves with the fans."

"They deserve to have a dignified ending, that is what we are focusing on now, showing, improving the soccer and getting the most points, which is also important."

"From this squad, I am one of the players who has spent the most time in the institution, in Fuerzas Básicas they teach us a lot about the value and importance that Santos has for the entire region, personally I feel pain seeing the position we are in."

"My family and all the people around me are witnesses, these are things that happen, the important thing is to work to turn this around," added the player born in Córdoba, Veracruz.

He also pointed out that beyond the pressure to achieve positive results, the team must focus on showing their best soccer:

"José Javier Abella commented that the team seeks to redeem itself with its fans, knowing that to achieve this, they require much more than a victory this Sunday against Zorros."

"There will always be pressure in a soccer club, it always exists, that pressure to seek good results, at the moment things may not have gone well, in that part it's a bit complicated."

"We have to free our minds, let our soccer flow, enjoy our profession which is playing soccer, it's a little bit of that, freeing ourselves from the pressure we may have."

This Saturday the lagunero team will have their practice session at 9:30 am at the Territorio Santos Modelo facilities, behind closed doors.

El Chepo de la Torre already has his lineup defined, where there will be changes in search of a better team performance.
