The Second Division has had a significant increase in public attendance. The presence of Cienciano del Cusco, Carlos A. Mannucci or Sport Huancayo themselves has brought back expectations to people who had stayed away from sports venues.
The increase in stadium attendance has been so significant that some teams in the Second Division surpass several teams in the first division in terms of ticket sales. A clear example of this is Cienciano del Cusco, which has attracted 79,226 people in 12 matches played so far this year, more than Sporting Cristal itself.
Sporting Cristal, in fourth place in the attendance table, has a total of 66,577 paying attendees when playing as the home team at Estadio Nacional and Alberto Gallardo. Sporting Cristal expects better numbers with their presence in the playoffs.
Another team from the Second Division that has attracted a significant number of attendees is Sport Ancash, with 55,180 people. In addition to this, Carlos A. Manucci and Sport Loreto, with 53,281 and 45,715 respectively, surpass Deportivo Municipal in the attendance table, which has a total of 43,715 attendees.
At the bottom of the attendance table is Unión Comercio de Moyobamba with 6,641 paying attendees, well below the last team in the Second Division, which has a total of 7,334 attendees.
