South Florida lights up this 4th of July 2025 with a variety of events to celebrate US Independence Day. From fireworks displays to concerts and family activities, the cities of Coral Springs, Deerfield Beach, Margate, and Pompano Beach, among others, offer options for all tastes. Admission and parking are usually free, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a day full of patriotism and fun.
Featured Events in Selected Cities:
- Coral Springs: Mullins Park will be the scene of live entertainment starting at 5:30 p.m. and a grand fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. There will be a sports area, inflatables, and arts and crafts. Live music will be provided by the Remix Miami Band, and food trucks will be available.
- Deerfield Beach: The celebration and fireworks return to the beach, with live music from four bands from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Drones will fly over the waters of Deerfield Beach starting at 9:00 p.m.
- Margate: The City of Margate and the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency are hosting the annual Fourth of July parade and fireworks celebration, beginning at 9 a.m. with the popular city parade, followed by a post-parade picnic and an evening concert featuring The Solid Brass band at 6 p.m. The celebration culminates with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m. on Margate Boulevard.
- Pompano Beach: Pompano’s annual “Beach Bash Extravaganza” will take place along Pompano Beach Boulevard with live music in front of the beach starting at 5:30 p.m. with the Shadow Creek Band, followed by the Stereo FM Band at 7 p.m. Fireworks will be launched from a floating barge in the ocean at 9 p.m.
- Fort Lauderdale: The city of Fort Lauderdale offers a spectacular, free Fourth of July event at Fort Lauderdale Beach, featuring live bands, a kids’ zone, beach games, contests, and a dazzling fireworks display at 8:45 p.m.
Celebration Options for the Whole Family:
- Lauderdale by the Sea: Its annual “small town” parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by a Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at El Prado Park. There will be face painting, live performances, a water slide, and a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
- Plantation: The City of Plantation’s festivities begin at 9 a.m. with a parade that ends at City Hall with an awards ceremony. A children’s area, concert, and fireworks (Zambelli Fireworks) will take place at the Plantation Central Park baseball fields, with the children’s area opening at 6:00 p.m. and the concert at 7:00 p.m.
- Tamarac: Presents an “All-American Celebration” on Tuesday, July 4, at the Tamarac Sports Complex. Fireworks will light up the sky after energetic music by The Vam Band. There will be fun and food for the whole family.
- Sunrise: Celebrations will be held at two separate locations. The day begins with a parade at 9 a.m. ending at City Park, with refreshments and a children’s fun zone. The second part begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Amerant Bank Arena with a free concert followed by fireworks.
- Davie: The annual “Independence Day Fun on the 4th” event will be held at the Bamford/Pine Island Park Sports Complex on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with live music, food trucks, family activities, and a drone show prior to the fireworks.
- Pembroke Pines: The city invites residents and visitors to the Annual Fourth of July Celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Pines Recreation Center Festival Grounds, featuring live music, attractions, food trucks, and an impressive fireworks display.
- Miramar: The Fourth of July concert and fireworks display at Miramar Regional Park will be free with prior registration. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9 p.m. (parking fee of $10).
- Hollywood: The celebration of the nation’s 249th birthday will take place at Hollywood Beach Bandshell on Friday, July 4, 2025, with live DJs at 5 p.m., the Making Faces Party Band at 7 p.m., and fireworks over the ocean at 9 p.m. Please be aware of information regarding parking and beach capacity.
