Adolfo Bautista, one of the most applauded men during the Classic Legends, held nothing back against América and both on and off the field, he was an uncomfortable rival. After Guadalajara defeated the azulcremas at the Jalisco Stadium, the former Chivas forward said that if there was a rematch at the Azteca Stadium, the rojiblancos would again be the majority in the stands.
"We know that they didn't want to lose either, but today we won and enjoyed at home. I think if there was a rematch at the Azteca, it would also be a success. Chivas is also considered local there in the capital, and it would be good," shared Bautista, who opened the scoring during the first half with a pass from Ramón Ramírez.
Even before the game started, the Guadalajara fans were already chanting for "Bofo" in the stands. In response to this gesture, Bautista once again expressed his desire to retire with the Chivas jersey.
"I had a lot of excitement to step on this field again, especially against this rival that is hated in Mexico. The reception from the fans was incredible, I am very grateful, and the important thing is that in the end, we enjoyed and won. I celebrated the goal, but I celebrated more at the end.
"The people mean a lot to me, I have a great affection for this institution, and it is my team from the heart. I have shown it, the fans have responded to me, and I to them. That's why I have always said that I would like to retire with the Chivas jersey, whether it's in a tribute match or however, but to retire with this jersey that I love so much," Bautista concluded.
