Lerdo debuts with a resounding victory.

Lerdo debuted with a victory in the Major Baseball League of La Laguna against Sandilleros de Tlahualilo.

Lerdo debuted with a victory in the Major Baseball League of La Laguna against Sandilleros de Tlahualilo.

The team from Lerdo City Council returned to the Major League of Baseball in La Laguna and did it with a resounding victory as a visitor over Sandilleros from Tlahualilo, with a score of 9 runs to 1, in what was the first match held at Francisco Sarabia Park.

The second match of the series will be this Saturday at 2:30 PM, at San Fernando Stadium in Ciudad Jardín.

This Thursday, the baseball fast was broken in the Major League of La Laguna, with the start of the season and the traditional opening series, within the 65th edition of this league.

Carlos Castañeda for Lerdo and Juan Pablo Menchaca for the local team were the starting pitchers of the match, both maintaining a close pitching duel during the first 5 innings.

This Saturday starting at 2:00 PM, the opening series will continue, now taking place at San Fernando Stadium in Ciudad Jardín.

In the sixth inning, after pitching 5 hitless innings, Juan Pablo Menchaca was attacked with 3 runs. With one out, Antonio Sánchez broke the streak with a hit against the Sandillero pitcher.

Andrés Tarín followed suit and Wallys de la Cruz loaded the bases with the third hit of the inning, setting the stage for a double by Ricardo Serrano, which produced three runs.

Sandilleros got one run back in the same sixth inning. Martín Cervantes hit a double and scored with a hit by the Dominican player Wilton Mejía.

After increasing the lead with one run in the seventh, Lerdo achieved a three-run rally in the eighth against Alejandro Ramírez's pitching. Julio Esparza and Wallys de la Cruz led the attack with hits.

In the ninth inning, they put the game on ice by completing a five-run rally. Raúl Marrufo produced two runs with a hit and Wallys de la Cruz brought the remaining three runs with a home run.

Carlos Castañeda earned the victory by pitching 6 innings, allowing 7 hits, 1 run, and two strikeouts. Juan Pablo Menchaca was the loser, pitching 6 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 strikeouts, and 2 runs. He was relieved by Alejandro Ramírez, Edwin Morán, Fernando Gallegos, and Carlos Martínez.
