Salvador Hernandez Mondragon is a Mexican athlete who won bronze in the 100 meters (T52 category) at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. He has been participating in the Paralympic Games since Atlanta 1996, winning a total of 8 medals.

For the athlete from Michoacan, Rio 2016 is his sixth participation in the Paralympics. In Doha, Qatar, he secured his spot for Rio 2016 by winning the silver medal in the T52 100 meters final, with a time of 17.83 seconds. In Rio, he recorded a time of 17.69 seconds and improved his personal best.

Around 1,300 athletes from nearly 100 countries gathered in Qatar. In 2002, this wheelchair athlete received the National Sports Award.

His motto is: "With effort and perseverance, success is achieved. I won't take a step back or even to take flight."

Salvador Hernandez Mondragon also participated in the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games, where he won medals for Morelia and Mexico.

The Parapan American Games were held in Canada from August 7th to 15th.

He finished his participation in the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games with a silver and a bronze medal in the 200 and 400 meters events, respectively, in the T52 category.
