Golf Tournament at Club Campestre Torreón
Despite the rain, the fourth edition of the Golf Tournament Grupo Milenio will be held this Friday at Club Campestre Torreón, with shotgun starts at 8:00 am.
The teams are ready to enter the field and enjoy this sports event that is played under the A Go Go game system in groups of four members each. There will be 18 holes to play, with both amateur and professional golfers, including ladies and gentlemen.
The teams are balanced, that is why only one player with a handicap of 7 or less is allowed in each group. The minimum handicap per group is 54, and the maximum for each player is 30.
Gentlemen will tee off from white marks, Seniors (60 years and older) from gold marks, and Ladies from red marks. (Ladies who belong to any golf academy, university team, or golf tour must play from white marks).
For tiebreakers, the first three places will be determined by card comparison (Golf Rules, Appendix I Section B-10c).
USGA Rules, adopted by FMG, and the local rules of the Club will apply. There will also be special rules, such as preferred lies, where the ball may be placed on a tee throughout the course and in bunkers, without getting close to the flagstick. The ball cannot be lifted from a hazard using the tee measure.
There are attractive prizes, trophies will be awarded to the top three teams, in addition to a special prize for a hole in one on hole 15, with a brand new car, and on hole 4, with a golf cart.
For O'yes prizes, on hole 7 there will be a Whirlpool mini fridge, a 32-inch Samsung LED TV, an LG home theater system, a Promanuez food hamper, and a meat portfolio, in that order.
On hole 12 there will be a Nassau recliner chair, a 32-inch LED TV, golf items, a meat portfolio, and a Promanuez food hamper, in that order.
For hole 17, the first place will receive a 1-ton Frikko mini Split, the second place an LG mini component system, the third place golf items, the fourth place a meat portfolio, and the fifth place a Promanuez food hamper.
Another incentive that Grupo Milenio offers to participants is the chance to participate in a raffle for gifts such as a mini Split, a 32-inch TV, a home theater system, a mini component system, golf items, meat portfolios, and Promanuez food hampers.
Pamela Ontiveros, a golf professional at the Club, who trains youth teams, highlighted the enthusiasm among the golfers who attend Club Campestre Torreón, as there is rivalry among several of them.
