ARLINGTON, Texas — The New Orleans Saints won't have to face one of the NFL's best pass rushes without their top offensive tackle, but they will not have their shutdown corner available.
Offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga is officially active, despite missing the final two practices of the week after his back started tightening up. But cornerback Marshon Lattimore will not play after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1.
Joining Lattimore on the inactives list are defensive tackle Khalen Saunders (calf), linebacker D'Marco Jackson (calf), tight end Dallin Holker, receiver A.T. Perry, linebacker Jaylan Ford and quarterback Spencer Rattler, who will be available as the emergency third quarterback.
Coach Dennis Allen expressed some optimism that Fuaga would be able to play earlier this week, despite the fact that he missed practice. He was not as optimistic on Lattimore, though the veteran cornerback did travel with the team to Texas.
At corner, the Saints will almost certainly turn to rookie Kool-Aid McKinstry to fill Lattimore's role. McKinstry stepped in for Lattimore in Week 1, playing 28 snaps.
