Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has emerged as a target for La Liga side Real Sociedad following Robin Le Normand’s move to Atletico Madrid.
La Real are now in the market for a replacement and are interested in the possibility of signing the Frenchman, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Lenglet is back at Barcelona after a season-long loan with Aston Villa, but the Catalans are seemingly desperate to offload him on a permanent basis.
There have been whispers of interest from several other clubs, including Besiktas, but a move to the Basque Country may appeal to Lenglet.
The one stumbling block to any deal will be Lenglet’s high salary which is another reason why Barca are so eager to move him on.
Lenglet has spent the last two seasons out on loan, without being able to secure a permanent move, and has a contract with Barca that runs for another two years.
