Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has admitted he’s still waiting to hear from Barcelona about Joao Felix.
The Portugal international has spent the season loan at Barcelona, and it’s thought the Catalans want to keep him for another season.
Felix has also said he wants to stay with Barcelona, but Cerezo says there’s been no contact from the Catalan giants.
“The situation is exactly the same as it was 15 days ago and 3 months ago,” he told reporters.
“He is a player of Atlético de Madrid who is on loan at FC Barcelona. We don’t know what Barcelona’s response will be, and when we do, we will make the decisions we have to make.”
Barcelona are still waiting to hear how much money they can spend this summer which will have a major impact on their transfer plans. Meanwhile, Felix is currently away at Euro 2024 but is yet to play a minute for Portugal.
