Chandan Boro: A promising talent from India
Chandan Boro is a student at North Harisinga School, in the Udalguri district of a small state in India called Assam. The boy was chosen by the German club TSG Hoffenheim to be trained for a period of six years.
Next month, the boy will travel from Udalguri to Bittburgo, Germany to continue the beginning of his promising soccer career. Despite living in a poor neighborhood, his talent in soccer made the German club choose him.
The selections are made among three organizations: Tata Trust, which focuses on transforming traditional charity ideas in order to make a difference in different communities; U Sports, a company that helps talented athletes reach their full potential; and the German club TSG Hoffenheim.
There are 17 young Indian footballers who entered this training program last year. It is a great project that promotes social responsibility in each institution and also helps young people start their dream of becoming the next stars of world football.
