SYRACUSE N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse men’s lacrosse team toppled Colgate, 18-10, to improve to 2-0 for the second consecutive year.
Standout offensive threat Joey Spallina conducted the offense, leading the team with four goals and five assists. Owen Hiltz (3g, 3a) and Michael Leo (3, 1) each produced a hattrick. Finn Thompson (2, 1), Christian Mule (1, 2) and Mason Kohn (1, 2) each added multi-point days.
Kohn controlled the face, contributing 17 of the 24 faceoff wins for the Orange. Syracuse had a 24-7 advantage on the faceoff.
Will Mark was stout in the goal, saving 11 of the 21 Colgate shots on cage.
