Juan Diego Gutiérrez will travel to Denmark on Monday to play for Vejle Boldklub in the second division. The Peruvian midfielder stated that only "details need to be finalized" for his departure from Universitario de Deportes to Europe to be made official. His transfer would be through a loan with an option to buy and would be valid until the end of the 2016 season.
"It's a unique opportunity that sometimes doesn't come around twice. Everything is agreed, I'm traveling tonight and we will finalize the details there. I found out about everything a couple of days ago," said Guti in an interview with Gol Peru.
Later, the 24-year-old midfielder added: "Everything was done in coordination with the club and I am extremely grateful to Universitario de Deportes because they have been good to me. It will serve for my professional growth and I hope everything goes through."
His representative, Carlos Gonzales, confirmed what the player said: "We are traveling this Monday the 11th to meet with the people from Vejle BK to discuss and finalize details in order to complete the incorporation. All of this has been done in coordination with the club and they have provided all the facilities."
At Universitario de Deportes, Juan Diego Gutiérrez played 49 games and scored 7 goals. Now, he would have the chance to continue showing his talent in European football.
