Milwaukee Bucks big man Brook Lopez is without a doubt one of the best rim protectors in the NBA today. He has been Milwaukee’s defensive anchor for many years, and he’s taken on the mantle yet again this season.
This is exactly why it’s pretty big news whenever Lopez gets himself on the wrong end of a poster slam.
Kristaps Porzingis Puts Milwaukee Bucks’ Brook Lopez on Poster
This was exactly the case on Wednesday night as the Bucks took on the Boston Celtics. Summer recruit Kristaps Porzingis, who has had quite a start to his Celtics career thus far, took center stage again in the first half after throwing one down on Lopez:

Porzingis had a clear path to the basket on a fastbreak play. He had all the momentum as Lopez attempted to contest the Celtics star’s dunk. It did not work out well for the Bucks center.
You have to give credit to Lopez for challenging the shot, though. He had a very small chance of blocking that dunk attempt, but the Milwaukee vet still did all he could to stop Porzingis.
Lopez is one of the best shot-blockers in the league, which also means that being on the wrong end of posters is just part of the job description. This is far from the first time the former All-Star has been posterized, and it surely won’t be his last.
