Peruvian surfers shine at Pan American Games Santiago 2023

Once again Peruvian surfers showcase their quality in different disciplines at international tournaments, this time our delegation shines at the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 and earns medals. The contests take place at Punta de Lobos beach.

'Piccolo' Clemente wins gold and becomes Pan American champion

This morning, Benoit Clemente Rothfuss, better known as 'Piccolo' Clemente, secured the gold medal and became the two-time Pan American champion in the Longboard discipline. Our compatriot claimed gold at the Pan American Games held in Lima 2019.

EFFORT AWARD

With this achievement, it is the third medal that Peruvian surfers have earned on Monday, as Vania Torres and Miguel Tudela also reached the podium with their magnificent performances, winning bronze. Undoubtedly, it is a reward for their effort, considering the intense competition.

But we keep adding, minutes later Lucca Mesinas won a gold medal in the shortboard discipline. With this result, he secured the Olympic spot for Paris 2024. Our delegation of surf champions continues to compete with great success.
