Just a few days before their match against Deportivo Garcilaso for matchday 19 of the Clausura Tournament, Alianza Lima received bad news. The Superior Court of Justice declared the complaint filed by the blanquiazul team against the Peruvian Football Consortium inadmissible. A few months ago, the team from La Victoria terminated its contract with GOL PERÚ to sign with 1190 Sports after a dispute with the latter television company.
"The complaint filed by Club Alianza Lima is declared inadmissible, reserving the right of the plaintiff to assert it in accordance with the law; return the annexes, making a record in the case file, and duly file those related to the matter, once this resolution becomes final," stated the Superior Court regarding the issue.
How does this ruling affect Alianza Lima?
The Alianza Lima team had filed a complaint against the Peruvian Football Consortium for a breach of contract and the ineffectiveness of the renewal clause, arguments they used to sign with 1190 Sports. With this adverse ruling from the Superior Court of Justice, the PFC has legal grounds to demand a substantial penalty from the La Victoria team for unilateral contract termination.

Why was Alianza Lima's complaint declared inadmissible?
One of the reasons that would have harmed Alianza Lima's position is found in the eighth point of the case file, where an inconsistency was allegedly found by stating that the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) had total authority over the broadcasting rights of the Liga 1, while the club had previously asserted that it had the faculty to independently negotiate with any channel.
