“It is difficult at this moment to see the exact factor that may have influenced the team not playing well. But all teams suffer here, we are talking about the altitude, specifically today (yesterday), we generated goal situations just like Cienciano, we had the difficulty of controlling transitions but we did not have defensive balance and in the end a goal that could have been avoided, but I think that the situation of our difficulties at the end of the tournament is not just about today or the defeat in Cusco, it happened with matches against Boys, UTC, matches that we played to win and we did not have clarity to score goals,” said the Brazilian coach in the press conference after the match.

“I have to focus on improving this team, I am the main responsible, we have to leave a good impression for our people,” he added.
According to Nunes, Cristal lacked the ability to convert the goal opportunities it created in the match, as well as better control the transitions during the game.
“In the second half, we had more opportunities, goals disallowed for offside. We lacked effectiveness and more organization in defense,” he concluded.

With one match to go before the Clausura ends, Cristal is fourth in the standings with 33 points. The sole leader is Universitario de Deportes with 36 units.
