Antonio Rüdiger, in the 25th minute, and Florian Wirtz, in the 51st, scored the goals for Germany. Uriel Antuna, in the 37th, and Érick Sánchez, in the 47th, scored for Mexico.
This was the 13th match between Mexico and Germany (formerly West Germany). The balance is five victories for the 'Mannschaft', two wins for the 'Tri', and six draws.
Both teams will have their next matches in November. Germany will play two preparation matches for Euro 2024: on Saturday, November 18, they will host Turkey in Berlin and on Tuesday, November 21, they will visit Austria in Vienna.
On the other hand, Mexico will face the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League 2023-24, a qualifying round that will give the winner a spot in the Copa America 2024.
