Emily Lima, the coach of the Peruvian women's national team, shared her impressions about her experience as a coach in the country. Additionally, she announced the list of players called up to face Ecuador in the upcoming FIFA match.

Emily Lima, a 42-year-old Brazilian coach with experience in 'carioca' football and currently in charge of the technical direction of the Peruvian women's national team, announced on October 6th the list of players called up for the next FIFA Date. In this international event, Peru will face Ecuador in two matches scheduled for October 28th and 31st. The coach also shared details about the progress and challenges of national football, emphasizing the continuous commitment to improvement.

Lima, who participated in a press conference from La Videna, began by affirming her level of demand regarding the areas of improvement of her team and her knowledge about the Ecuadorian national team. She also indicated that these commitments will be key to evaluate the progress of the Blanquirroja.

"I am very demanding in what we need to improve. We know a lot about Ecuador, our next opponent because we have worked there. It is an important match for our process towards where we want to go," said the coach.

He also provided an explanation about the reasons why women's football in our country lagged behind: "The deficiency comes from the country's culture, starting women's football very late and that is not only in Peru. In South American countries, we have this deficiency."

"We have to take the example that was not so good within a cultural reality and what we are proposing today. It is not just entering the field and playing football. There are a lot of factors that make the result not come out," she added.

She also stated that they will go for the goal they have set, although she stressed that it will require a great effort and dedication: "The data we bring from each footballer is to know where we are and where we are going. The work is looking at objectives ahead, each year will be an improvement and that is what we are looking for. We are still far from the high level."

Finally, she highlighted her experience in the finals of the Women's League between Alianza Lima and Universitario, with the crowning of the cremas, and revealed that it was a unique episode in her coaching career: "There were 70 thousand people putting together both finals. For me, it is something I never experienced in football and I am experiencing it in Peru. I lived the best moment of my life as a coach in Peru. Women's football does exist here. There is an evolution."
