Universitario de Deportes debuted this Thursday, October 5th, in the 2023 Copa Libertadores Femenina facing Universidad de Chile. The 'crema' team couldn't start on the right foot after being defeated 1-0 thanks to Maria Martinez Vecca's goal.

As it is known, 'Somos Nativa' is the channel that acquired the broadcasting rights in Peru for this championship and streams the games live on their YouTube and official Facebook accounts. However, they made a serious mistake during the 'Leonas' commitment.

According to Puntaje Ideal, 'Nativa' wrongly configured their live YouTube broadcast of the match between Universitario and U de Chile. The mentioned channel forgot to configure the video and was broadcasting it worldwide.

For that reason, 'El Canal del Fútbol (ECDF)' from Ecuador reported to the Peruvian media about their coverage on the mentioned platform, causing YouTube to take down the video due to television rights. However, the match continued to be broadcasted on Nativa's Facebook account.

"Nativa was broadcasting the Copa Libertadores Femenina on YouTube, but it did not restrict its broadcast only to Peru, but it was airing it worldwide. ECDF reported the broadcast and it was taken down due to copyright rights," reported the aforementioned portal.

Universitario will play again in the Copa Libertadores on Sunday, October 8th against Santa Fe. The match will start at 17:30 hours in Colombia and Peru.
