The Mexican forward, José de Jesús Godínez, is standing out in Costa Rica, and yesterday with a double against Municipal Pérez Zeledón, he reached eleven goals, placing himself at the top of the goal scorers in the country's first division.
The team from Herediano won 1-4 and with that, they reached third place in the national championship, awaiting today's results, mainly from Cartaginés and Guanacasteca.

Godínez has scored eleven goals in the same number of matches in the Club Sport Herediano's tournament, he is the most important player for the team, and in the top scorers table, he is four goals ahead of his closest pursuers, Sebastián Cárdenas and Ariel Rodríguez.

The other two Mexicans who are also scoring goals in Costa Rica are Luis Miguel Franco and Erick Torres, both have four goals in the 2023 Apertura tournament.
